| Textbooks and Other Course Materials: | 1: Textbook is Adobe Flash CS3 Professional Hands-On Training, by Todd Perkins ISBN-10: 0-321-50983-8 2: Students must have access to Adobe Flash CS3 for the whole semester. 3: Headphones will be necessary if the student plans to work on their homework in the Multimedia lab. 4: An Internet connection is also necessary for the whole semester, as the online class environment exists through the Blackboard Learning System. |
| Learning Outcomes: | 1: Students will gain basic knowledge of using Adobe Flash CS3 to create interactive multimedia sites and projects. 2: Also covered will be basic animation principles used by successful animators, with emphasis on incorporating these principles into interactive animations. |
| Evaluation Procedures: | Weekly homework assignments (chapter exercises) - 30% of grade. Discussion board postings - 20% of grade. Midterm project - 20% of grade. Final project - 30% of grade. Point ranges for each grade:

| Attendance Policy: | Since this in an online only class, there are never face to face sessions. Attendance is calculated by the amount and relevancy of Discussion board postings each student makes during the semester, There will be a new discussion board put up on Blackboard for every assignment. The boards are a public forum for the students to ask questions and state their thoughts on the material covered in the current assignment exercises. The boards are viewed and posts are contributed by all students in the class, giving each student an idea of what the others in the class are thinking and how they are getting along in the learning process. |
