Course Preview: This course will assist students in developing skills to combine imagery and typography in the production of effective layouts for print promotions materials using InDesign. Topics covered will include the function of type in design, pagination, paragraph formatting, layout, and the fundamentals of prepress. Upon completion of this course students should be able to import images and format text to create multi-page documents.
Textbooks and Other Course Materials: 1: Classroom in a Book Adobe InDesign CS3
2: USB drive or blank CDs for transporting files
Learning Outcomes: 1: Upon completion of this course students should be able to import images and format text to create flyers, posters, brochures, magazines, etc..
Evaluation Procedures: Students will be required to complete weekly assignments with quizzes after completed chapters. A midterm and final project will be required along with a final exam.

Point ranges for each grade:
A = 90-100
B = 80-89
C = 70-79
D = 60-69
F = 0-59
Attendance Policy: An attendance grade will be included as part of the total grade.
